Monday, April 24, we were able to pick up a trailer with beautiful clothing in Weesp. Thanks to St. HRIF for this. On Wednesday, April 26, we did a lot of work with a relatively small group, there was a lot of repacking work and also collection jobs to do. Not to mention two trucks were loaded at the same time. It is nice to see that there are people who are so committed to the work of our foundation. The following stories from our local contact persons make it clear that this is useful and necessary. Here is the link to photos. Saturday 29 April the first truck was unloaded at the farm in Marghita. The second truck was partly unloaded in Ticau on Saturday, the remaining part of the load is still on its way to Botosani. New rules caused problems at the border in the contents of the truck and the papers. Attila from the farm solved this in an excellent way, many thanks to him for that. Here the link to pictures of the unloading on the farm. Reghina from Ticau was happy with the items an

On Monday, April 17, we were able to pick up a nice batch of clothing at HRIF in Weesp. A good start to the week. It was a great opportunity for a good conversation with the Veenstra family. It is truly unbelievable what these people achieve together. Here is the link to their latest newsletter. Wednesday, April 19, we were able to load a trailer with destination Breaza. It has become a nice varied load. At 13:00 the driver was able to start driving, on Friday he crossed the Hungary/Romania border without any problems and on Saturday morning unloading took place in Breaza. There were still a few pick-up jobs. There were fewer volunteers than we are used to, but everything went well. Here is the link to pictures of the loading. Thursday, April 20, there was a pick-up job in the middle of the country, Siem was able to arrange this and Nico helped unload. In Amsterdam we were able to pick up half a trailer of goods on Friday. All in all, a busy week resulting in a trailer of relief goods

Tuesday, April 11, immediately after the Easter weekend, we were able to start loading a truck, destination Botosani. With a small group we had done this in one morning. The truck was in Romania on Thursday, fortunately no problems at the border. It has become a nice varied load. Here is the link to photos. Wednesday, April 12, there were not many jobs at first. At the last minute there was still a nice job added. Picking up furniture at a daycare center in Den Helder. In Botosani all teams that came to help from abroad have left again. Cristi sent lots of pictures of the distribution in villages. Soon there will be a group from America, these people want to visit Ukraine, among other things. Here is the link to photos. On Saturday, April 15, the truck that was loaded on Tuesday in Broek op Langedijk was unloaded in Botosani. Igor came immediately with two vans to pick up goods that will be used in soup kitchens in Chernivtsi Ukraine. Here is the link to photos. Pieter Nagel from Minis

In Romania it unexpectedly started snowing and not a little bit, in the north of the country this caused a lot of inconvenience. Closed roads and no air traffic from Iasi or Suceava for example. Everything was more or less normal again on Saturday, Cristi said. He sent a lot of pictures of the distribution of the packages and the snow nuisance. There was a lot of help from Denmark, Austria and Germany, about 50 people in total. It's nice to have a background, but so many people visiting at the same time is quite a bit. Here is the link to photos. The problems for farmers with the sale of grain due to its dumping from Ukraine have led to protests with tractors by farmers. The problem is the same in Poland, there are protests there too. Here is the link to photos. On Tuesday, April 4, we loaded a trailer with a small group that first unloaded to Marghita and loaded potatoes and vegetables there with destination Breaza. This all went smoothly on Thursday there was already unloading i

This blog starts with the report of the fascinating journey that Nico, Henk and myself made to Romania. Tuesday March 28 was a travel day and we arrived late in the evening at the farm in Marghita, together with Csaba Fazakas from Breaza. Csaba had picked us up in Cluj and helps with translation if necessary, he was also an important support for us now. On Wednesday we looked around the farm there and had conversations with the Attila and his team. Attila runs a wonderful company with lots of possibilities. Farmers in Romania are struggling to keep their heads above water. Dumping grain from the Ukraine for very low prices on the Romanian market and those other surrounding countries makes the cultivation of grain loss-making for them. This problem has also been on the agenda in Brussels since last week and farmers in Romania are getting ready to protest against this dumping. Part of the vegetables and potatoes from the farm goes to refugee camps in the Ukraine and to poor people in Rom
