You can make enough beautiful pictures in Romania, this is in Deaj. The second part of the trip together with Nico was again a beautiful and interesting experience. On Sunday we went to visit Eleana and Nelu in Urmenis, people we have known for a long time and who mean a lot to the people around them. The table was full of delicious things for us to enjoy. The son and daughter-in-law were also visiting and we were able to exchange information extensively. It was quite warm again, but on the terrace under the trees in this beautiful spot it was good to be in this company. Monday we went to Botosani, there was also a hospitable reception waiting for us, many stories were told. We visited the new unloading place with, great for each other a very good point for storage and transhipment. It is also a great place to offer the children some entertainment. On Tuesday we first went to the Roma family who got a cow through Cristi, she gives good milk and receives

I am writing this message from Breaza in the middle of the ten-day journey   through Romania together with Nico Groot. During our flight we experienced little trouble or hindrance from the corona measures, we are both fully vaccinated and have proof of this. Nobody asked about the three extra formulas that we had to fill in at home. We first visited Attila, the manager of the farm in Marghita we could in this harvest period to see some fine examples of his craftsmanship. The crops were in good shape at harvest time, the rapeseed was ready and successful, the wheat harvest was in full swing and almost ready. A very nice yield of very good quality, very nice to see all. Life in Romania is slowly going back to normal, however the corona pandemic has "cut in" quite a bit. In Getz, bread baking in the container is now well underway after a learning process of some time, they know how to produce tasty bread. The construction of the new community house continues steadily, it will ta

In the past week, no fewer than three trucks with relief goods have been unloaded in Romania. It is nice to see and hear what we have achieved with that. On Monday 5 July, both in Breaza and Botosani, they were busy unloading the two trucks that we had loaded in Broek op Langedijk the week before. On Wednesday 7 July we loaded a truck with relief supplies in Broek op Langedijk smoothly and without any problems. On Friday 9 July it was already unloaded in Marghita and Ticau. In addition, relief supplies were loaded in three trips at St. HIRF in Weesp and taken to Broek op Langedijk. There were more collection jobs, for example in Den Helder, Lutjebroek, Zaandam and Egmond. Here is the link to photos. A great result, many people have been helped with this. The people we look after together with our partners can use this well, photos and stories of them make this clear. Summer is a better period for poor people than winter, but life in Romania is far from easy for many people. Due to the

The plan to load two trucks this time has worked out well, on Tuesday 29 June some preparations were made and on Wednesday 30 June two trucks were loaded. This went well and smoothly, a lot of experience has been gained over the years, but it still has to happen. The trucks left Broek op Langedijk around 2 pm and headed for Breaza and Botosani respectively. There were a total of 8 larger and smaller pick-up jobs to do and that was also successful. We could therefore speak of a busy but fruitful day. The two trucks will be unloaded on Monday 5 July in Botosani and Breaza. Here is the link to pictures of the loading. Monday there was a phone call from Joers Healthcare, they were going to deliver 75 new hospital beds to the Omring foundation Nicolaas in Lutjebroek. The question was do you want to pick up the old beds. That's quite a job, you need three trailers for it. Fortunately, we can always call on the Veenstra family of St. HIRF from Weesp when things get tough. We split the lot
