Foundation Promotie / Aid Transports to Romania

We can conclude our Christmas packages promotion 2023 in Broek op Langedijk, all packages have been sent. It is now our contact persons in Romania's turn to ensure that the packages reach the right people. The first messages and photos have already arrived, the reactions are very positive, the contents of the packages are great, people are very happy with them. It worked out well that in addition to the packages, we could also send many other "delicious things". The flow of incoming goods will continue for a while, there is still quite a bit in the "pipeline". So we can load even more trucks in 2023, a real end-of-year sprint. On Monday, November 20, I picked up goods together with Siem in Amsterdam and also from Manna in Alkmaar. At Manna (stmannaschermer.nl), we got potatoes, first helped on the sorting line. On Tuesday, November 14, Nico and I went to Harderwijk in a small truck. We regularly receive dog food from the company Yarrah ( www.yarrah.com ), which specializes in organic dog and cat food, and three pallets were ready. We take dog food to the shelter in Reghin, the people at this shelter do a good job. However, it is difficult for them to pay all the costs, this way we help with that. We first completed our drive to Harderwijk and during the afternoon we loaded this trailer. Together with Siem and the driver it went smoothly. Three quarters of the trailer with goods was for Breaza and the last quarter with the packages for Marien Kroon from Floresti. On Monday, November 6, the truck that we loaded on Wednesday, November 1, was unloaded in Botosani. Igor and his brother loaded some of it into vans and took it to people in need on the front lines in Ukraine. A nice action, a pity that this is necessary and that there does not seem to be an end to this insane war for the time being. Here is the link to photos. Last Wednesday and Thursday we started the preparations needed to make the Christmas packages in our storage in Broek op Langedijk. The result is that there is room for this and there is also a nice stock ready to be used  to take. It will happen again next Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10. We are hopeful that enough people will come and help with this. A truck was also loaded on Thursday and is now on its way to Botosani. At the end of the afternoon on Saturday, he crossed the border between Hungary and Romania without any problems.
