On Tuesday, April 16, we had the first meeting with Hannie and Hessel from Zending over Grenzen in Almere, this was about the PLMA fair in the RAI. Just like last year, we can collect the leftover food together with them after the end of this fair. It was a fruitful meeting, which means we are well prepared to make this a well-organized event. Rob has already sent an email asking you to register. We are also busy lobbying to get as many people involved as possible. This blog often talks about poor people who have nothing to eat. Now that we have again been given the opportunity to collect so much food for free, we must not give up. The distribution of the packages is already going well and more and more photos are coming in. People are very happy with it again. On Wednesday April 10 we loaded a trailer with destination Breaza. We were able to put together a nice mixed and valuable load of food, cookies, clothing, furniture and medical items. Food is especially important, not everyone can just walk to the store to do some shopping. The truck was on time and loading was not smooth, again there were enough people to help. The collection jobs also went smoothly, only Haye and Clement took longer on the road. The trailer goes on a train in Germany and goes to Arad. Another great week behind us with a lot of work done. On Wednesday, April 3, there were collection and clean-up jobs and stock from our temporary storage was brought back to the Dulleweg. On Thursday, April 4, there was a clothing campaign in a store in Heerhugowaard. And on Friday April 6, two trucks came to load.
