Foundation Promotie / Aid Transports to Romania

Unexpectedly, we were offered so many useful articles that we decided to put our shoulders to the wheel again and load a truck with these wonderful products. Right now it is very important that we can have food distributed. In total, we have shipped 54 truckloads of relief supplies this year. On Wednesday we were able to make another beautiful load that went to Breaza, with a stopover in Marghita. Here a number of pallets of cake went out to make room for cabbage and baking flour made from wheat from the farm there. Here is the link to photos. The truck was unloaded in Breaza on Saturday and its distribution was also immediately taken up, they were surprised by the quality of the goods. Glad we continued this. Monday afternoon, December 12, a truck came to load that had been given destination Breaza. The stuff that Henk Muller brought could also be taken along right away. For the rest we had a lot of food and cake and also beautiful clothes. A sponsor from Alkmaar Bep Runhaar, had been busy collecting clothes and food, it all went along. Here is the link to photos. The second truck was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, due to the winter weather around Paris, it was delayed until Wednesday. However, in collaboration with a partner from our network, we were able to collect a nice batch of food, completely unexpectedly. Back from a five-day trip to Romania together with Gerrit Beetsma and Nico Groot, I am now behind the computer to describe all the events during such a trip as briefly and concisely as possible. A difficult task. The flight to Cluj Napoca left Eindhoven airport early in the morning on Monday 5 December. Csaba was already waiting for us in Cluj and we were at the farm in Marghita at about 4 pm. It was a bit cold and rainy weather and the days are short so we spent a lot of time indoors. Enjoyed a delicious meal together with Attila, there was plenty to tell. Tuesday morning we met Csaba, an employee of the farm from the very beginning. During the greeting, he told us the sad news that his wife passed away suddenly in November at the age of 56. Comfort and encourage him, what else can you do? We are back in the old-fashioned end of year crowds. Tuesday morning we loaded the last 1,060 Christmas packages, together with a large batch of groceries. A very valuable and useful cargo has been sent to Breaza. Loading with a small group went smoothly, at 11:30 am the driver left with his truck for Romania.
