On Wednesday 20 April we loaded another truck, the contents of which for the most part go to the Ukraine. As I wrote last week, we then had the opportunity to replenish our stock with mainly food. This beautiful batch of very useful foodstuffs, with a value of many thousands of euros, has therefore been loaded. This direct way of providing aid is important to the many people who live there in terrible conditions. That we can do this thanks to the efforts of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors is very nice to experience. Many thanks for this. Here is the link to photos. With vans it goes from Cristi's depot in Botosani into the Ukraine. The truck arrived in Botosani on Saturday 23 April, part was immediately transferred into vans and taken away into the Ukraine. In Romania they now celebrate Orthodox Easter and many people have a few days off. The vans with a Romanian owner and driver will drive again on Tuesday to bring the goods into Ukraine. Important work that involves man

The past week has been used to get things back in order in our warehouse in Broek op Langedijk. On Wednesday we were able to pick up goods to replenish our stock. Among other things, three pallets (!) with foodstuffs that were ready for transport at Jan Valk's house in Zaandijk. This beautiful lot was submitted by our friends from M.C. Promotion and by a number of old acquaintances from former aid transports from the Zaan region. Just like a number of Reformed churches in this region. A great move, many thanks for that. Here is the link to the website. Cristi sent a huge amount of photos taken by people bringing goods into Ukraine and handing out the Easter packages with his guests from Canada and Austria. They also went with a group into the Ukraine to places where it is relatively quiet. I pasted the accompanying text from Cristi between the photos, impressive actions. Casa Ioana was (too) full with: 19 children, 1 employee, 1 volunteer, 18 Canadians and 6 refugees from the Ukrai

The volunteers of our foundation have worked hard again over the past week. We make full use of the opportunities we have to help people. Like many other organizations in our network, we also help in the Ukraine, especially through Cristi's depot in Botosani. The truck loaded on Friday April 1, was unloaded on Tuesday April 5 in Botosani. The 600 Easter packages are distributed in and around Botosani, among the often poor people there. A group from Austria and also from Canada (!) will come to help with the distribution. The rest of the food, like that of the previous shipments, goes to various cities in Ukraine. The photos I received from Cristi (which he received from the drivers who deliver this), show, among other things, destruction of buildings and weaponry. It is hard to imagine how the people there have to suffer and suffer. We will continue to bring relief supplies in that direction as much as possible. Bringing it into the Ukraine is not without danger, however, surprisin

Tuesday 29 March we started preparing for the production of the Eastern packages. Our storage was still quite full with existing stock, luckily we were allowed to temporarily use the neighbour’s building to store this stock there. The transfer was still in progress when the first truck with food from the Spar from Waalwijk arrived. Shortly afterwards, the Dozenhal from Ermelo brought the empty boxes and the second truck from the Spar brought the rest. The timing was perfect, Jan Valk had once again thought out where the items could best be stored, etc. At the end of the day, everything was ready for the production of 4.200 packages with mainly foodstuffs. The purchases for the catering in the coming days were also ready, as was the set-up of the temporary canteen. Here is the link to photos. Wednesday 30 March, just adjusting some test runs here and there and organizing some pick-up jobs, it went well. Thursday 31 March, always a bit exciting, how many people are coming and what can we
