Weekly update 33 34/26 Engels

Cotswolds is a beautiful area for walking. We were lucky with the weather, and traveling by Eurostar through the Channel Tunnel to London is highly recommended.

Meanwhile, the WhatsApp messages with questions, requests, and especially the photos continued to come in. It makes it clear that we do not do our work without reason.

On Wednesday, August 12, we loaded a trailer with two destinations, namely Marghita and Breaza. Two trailers came to unload goods, so it was busy for a while, but everything went well. The same goes for the pickup jobs.

On the farm in Marghita, the drought is still a major problem, just as it is throughout Romania. As is well known, part of the produce is given away, including to the food bank in Oradea. Attila sent a series of photos of the work of Asociația Werdnig Hoffman, who works in Carei . Through the Oradea food bank, they receive supplies for cooking and distributing food. This is one of the many contacts of this food bank. Therefore, our products and those from Attila's farm also reach many impoverished people through this channel.

The truck we loaded with two addresses was first unloaded in Marghita and reloaded there with vegetables and potatoes for Breaza.

Cristi and Aline from Botosani are doing well considering the circumstances. Joyous news is that Jason and Maria have become parents to a son. This means Cristi and Aline are now grandparents!

The process they have become embroiled in continues in September. Every week, they bring food to poor people in the villages around Botosani.

Imola from our support point in Breaza has written a post on her blog; this time it is mainly about the importance of the goods we bring.

Toth Attila from Peris has completed various activities. The photo album gives a nice impression of this.

Marin and Enico from Band experience all kinds of things there. Another man has been made happy with a mobility scooter. The photos make the rest clear.

Reghina from Ticau has done activities with the children, shared food, cooked, etc. Unfortunately, she is having problems with her car's gearbox and is asking if we can help her with a replacement. I have included the photos and the request in the album; perhaps there is someone who can help her. If so, please send me a message.

Henk Muller's activities are extensive. He is also involved in an aid project in Pakistan, in addition to his work in Romania. The photo album below gives an impression of all his activities.

Viorel and Elena from Deaj have once again accomplished a tremendous amount of work. It is incredible how tirelessly these people dedicate themselves to their fellow human beings. Changes are coming about in small steps; above all, I hope that the children will have better opportunities in the future.

Joszi and his team from Tirgu Mures haven't been sitting still either. For the first time in a very long time, Joszi went on a well-deserved vacation with his family last week.

This coming Wednesday we are going to load another trailer; this one is destined for Breaza.
