Weekly update 31/26 Engels

On Wednesday, we were once again able to put together a nice load of relief supplies for our contacts in and around Breaza. It was quite warm, but fortunately we were able to load indoors, where the heat was bearable. Clearing away and collecting the goods went smoothly, and everything took place in a pleasant atmosphere. It was Roel and Hans's birthday, so there were plenty of treats available. The Hesva lunch is also always a good moment.

Toth Attila from Peris has once again sent a series of photos of the distribution of goods that reach him via our depot in Breaza. It is certainly worth reading the accompanying text with the photos as well.

Marin and Enico have cooked for the many children again. That is greatly appreciated.

How is the construction of the last house going? With temperatures sometimes exceeding 40°C, it is very hot there. Perhaps that is why construction is currently on hold.

Imola has also written a piece on her blog. The program for the elderly in Breaza is greatly appreciated and brings a little extra joy to life. It is wonderful to see that this group of people is not forgotten either.

Another truck from Broek op Langedijk has been unloaded in Breaza. 

Reghina from Ticau has once again completed various activities: children's camps, distributing food, and providing Bible lessons. A full program of great significance to the people in her community.

The Mate family, who previously received a new living container in Valea Rece in Târgu Mureș, now also has a new outdoor toilet.

In Târgu Mureș, Joszi and his team have once again been active for the children and families in the neighborhood. Meals were cooked, and the children were able to enjoy a warm and nutritious meal again. At the same time, the program for a warm bath and clean clothes was also running again.

Elderly people and other residents of this poor neighborhood also know how to find this place. They can come here for a meal or to take food home. This means a great deal, especially to people who have little and often can barely make ends meet.

The goods sent from our depot in Breaza to Joszi in Târgu Mureș are therefore in high demand here. Clothing, food, and other necessities find a good destination in this way.

Viorel and Elena from Deaj continue working tirelessly every week on the goals they have set for themselves. 

The renovation of the small house in Haranglab into a community space
is now clearly beginning to take shape. The work is progressing rapidly, and step by step, a place is emerging where much more will soon be possible.

From this community space, Viorel and Elena want to organize activities that give children from the Roma neighborhood of Haranglab new opportunities. Good nutrition, clean clothing, and a safe place should encourage children to go to school. There will be space for homework assistance and for activities that help them further develop.

It is not an easy task. The circumstances in which many families live are difficult, and change does not happen overnight. But Viorel remains positive about the chances of success.

Miranda wrote a message from Sibiu; she is taking a tough course there. They are doing well. 

Miranda also sent a photo of curtains made from rolls of fabric from Content Wormerveer. They are made in a sewing workshop that is part of a large organization near Oradea that takes in orphans. It is interesting to read how they go about this; it is admirable. There is even a farm with 400 cows that is part of this project.
