Weekly update 45/25 Engels

This past week was a kind of calm before the storm. On Wednesday, November 12th, a trailer was loaded for Marghita. This helped free up the warehouse for the Christmas hamper campaign next Thursday and Friday. Fortunately, this trailer arrived on time and was full by noon.

We were able to immediately unload the truck that arrived from Marghita on Wednesday, November 12th, with the Penny Market goods for the Christmas packages.

There were two empty trailers available that we can use for a few weeks to temporarily store our existing inventory.

On Tuesday, November 11th, the box hall in Barneveld delivered 5,700 empty boxes.
They love eye-catching trucks and trailers there.

On Thursday, November 14th, we were able to pick up our order at Lidl. All the products are ready to be made into the Christmas hampers.

Next Monday, we'll put everything in its proper place and install the conveyor belt, etc. So we'll be ready in time to welcome a large group of volunteers on Thursday, November 20th, and Friday, November 21st, and let them roll up their sleeves. A youth group from the Reformed Church will kick things off on Tuesday evening.

Three trailers arrived in Breaza last week. Two on Monday, November 10th, and the last on Tuesday, November 11th. Due to circumstances, they were too close together, but they made it happen. The people we supply from this depot remain enthusiastic and grateful that we make this possible.

Viorel from Deaj sent me a request to help several families improve their housing. Thanks to our sponsors, we can cover the cost of the materials. He does the work with the people around him. Unfortunately, many people live in similar circumstances.

Here are the photos and explanations of Viorel and Elena's "normal" activities. It's certainly no news that prosperity isn't fairly distributed across the world's population. The photos and stories of Viorel, among others, illustrate this once again.

Henk Muller is still in Pakistan and shared photos with an explanation. Martonel has taken over the distribution in Romania.

The food packages don't reach people who already live in abundance. We regularly receive messages of gratitude from the emergency responders on the ground, confirming that our work is still important.

A truck will arrive Thursday and Friday to deliver the first shipment of Christmas packages. The rest will follow a week later.
