Weekly update 26/25 Engels

It is simply not possible to have a summer break. The flow of incoming goods continues steadily. These are often products that are approaching their expiration date, so storing them for a while is not a good idea. Fortunately, there are enough volunteers that we can call on and we still manage to send a trailer full of relief supplies every week.

Our customers in Romania are also happy with it. Every week, the stories of our contacts and the photos that we receive show how important our help is.

On Wednesday 25 July, the trailer that we were going to load for Breaza arrived in Broek op Langedijk on time. We loaded the trailer with a nice mixed load at a leisurely pace. Shortly after lunch, it was on its way to the train station in Venlo. The pick-up cushions also ran well, we were ready on time.

On Thursday, Haye and Rob had another tough pick-up job, great that this was arranged. It is another nice addition to our stock.

The trailer we loaded on June 18th will not arrive in Breaza until Monday June 30th. Unfortunately, there were problems with the train schedule.

Csaba has collected a batch of potatoes and vegetables from the farm in Marghita, also a nice way of providing aid.

Imola has posted a new message on her Blog.

Toth Attila shared a message about two children in trouble. It is hard to imagine what drives these parents, I hope that a solution will be found. Furthermore, it can be concluded that Attila does not have a boring life and does very good work, just like his wife.

Henk Muller is in the Netherlands, he is busy collecting goods, also in Belgium. I had a short meeting with Henk in Broek op Langedijk. Things are going very fast for Henk.

Viorel and Elena from Deaj have also done everything they can to help the people in their area. Viorel wants to roll up her sleeves and renovate the walls of a number of blocks of houses in Haranglab. Last year, the roofs were closed off.

Reghina from Ticau continues to hand out.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures shared many photos. It is nice to see that children are clean, washed, with clean clothes, a full stomach and with food to go home. Among other things, with a bag of potatoes from the Potjes family from Schermer. It is nice that this is made possible by the many people who are involved in our activities.

Marin and Enico from Band cooked for a large group of children and a number of elderly people, just like they do every week. It seems like there are more and more of them.

Yesterday I went on a nice tour from Oude Wetering with a group of motorcyclists, members of MC Promotie. The Netherlands has many beautiful places, many of which we came across. Signs of the prosperity of the average Dutch person and those who are above that are not hard to find. I think it is good that we share with people who do not have this. We are doing something about this in our own way, I hope that we are given the opportunity to continue doing this for a while.

Next Wednesday, July 2, a trailer will arrive to load for Breaza.
