Weekly update 19/25 Engels
Taking it easy didn't amount to much. When you know how great the need is in Romania and Ukraine and valuable goods are offered, it is difficult to say no. The result is that extra effort is needed, fortunately that was also very successful last week.
Siem and Nico were busy with a collection job on Tuesday 6 May.
On Wednesday 7 May we were able to load a trailer with destination Breaza. Another batch of potatoes went in here and the rest of the groceries, biscuits and some clothing. It has become a nice valuable load. In the meantime, three collection teams were on their way and there was a lot of stacking work. Everything went well again and our stock was not yet exhausted.

On Friday 9 May we were able to load a trailer with a small group for Jörg Breddermann from Germany. This was not the first time, the collaboration is very good. Jörg has been coming to Ukraine with aid supplies for many years and has an extensive network there. We started just after nine o'clock and at twelve o'clock Jörg left with a full trailer.

The potato season is coming to an end and unfortunately the market situation for arable farmers is unfavourable. Demand is low and there is too much supply. Seed potatoes for the free market are also affected by this. Next Tuesday we will load 15 tonnes of excellent seed potatoes in the Wieringermeer. Suitable for putting in the ground and making more potatoes from them. Preferably not, of course, but if this is too late, they can also be eaten immediately. There are more goods in the "pipeline", so we will load two trailers for Romania on Wednesday.
On the Imola blog there are new messages from people who have received Easter packages or other goods. In short, it comes down to the fact that they are happy and grateful for it.

Attila from the farm in Marghita sent a number of photos showing the state of the crops. It is growing surprisingly well this spring, warm and enough rain, the start of the season is good.
Henk Muller went to a conference and had all sorts of interesting encounters there. First worked in the gardens for a while.

Marin and Eniko from Band have cooked again. There too it is a relief that the weather is nice and it does not get dark so early. The seasonal work has started again, there is also a demand for a day laborer. In any case, a number of these people have the chance to earn something.
And once again a family has been made happy with a better home.
Reghina from Ticau has received goods from Broek op Langedijk via the farm and also products from the farm itself.
Viorel and Elena from Deaj have done a lot of good work for their fellow human beings again. The photos speak for themselves.
This also applies to Joszi from Tirgu Mures and his team.

It is great that we can support all these people of good will with our activities. Many thanks to our sponsors and our team of volunteers.
The truck that we loaded on Wednesday 30 April will be unloaded in Breaza next Monday. Due to the holidays and the 1 May celebration, the journey will unfortunately take longer than usual.
Next Tuesday Nico and I will arrange a few major pick-up jobs. On Wednesday 14 May two trailers will be loaded, one goes to Marghita and the other to Breaza.
