Weekly update 13/25 Engels
It worked, three trailers with parcels were unloaded in Romania and the last two trailers that were loaded with mainly parcels are on their way.
On Tuesday 25 March, two trailers with food from overproduction and/or incorrect purchases also came to unload, which was great of course. Being part of a well-functioning network paid off again.
On Tuesday, I was also busy planning everything as well as possible. Loading two trucks on a Wednesday has to go smoothly. Especially since 5 tons of seed potatoes and 1 ton of onions had to be picked up in Wieringermeer for this transport.
So it had to happen on Wednesday 26 March. However, transport is a dynamic world and not everything goes as the planners would like. Loading the first trailer went well, the second trailer finally arrived on Thursday. We were able to pick up more useful items on Wednesday. Yet another day well spent.
On Thursday 27 March the truck did not arrive at 8 am as agreed, but at 10:15 we could start and at 11:40 it was full. Including the seed potatoes and the plant onions. Jan Pilkes from St. Charitas will soon be going back to Ukraine, we were able to share some things with him again.
On Thursday 27 March the truck that we had loaded on 19 March was unloaded in Marghita, Ticau and finally Botosani. Due to circumstances it was not possible to send relief supplies to Cristi in Botosani for a while. Fortunately this is now possible again, the 600 packages arrived there safely last Thursday. This together with a large amount of other goods. Cristi and Alina are very happy with it.
Here is the link to photos of the arrival in Botosani.
The second truck that we had loaded for Breaza on 19 March also arrived safely
there.
Reghina from Ticau has again distributed a lot in her village.
Marin and Eniko have cooked again and looked after the people in their area.
Henk Muller had arranged the plant onions in the Wieringermeer. Together with the seed potatoes from one of our contacts, he will soon be able to make many people happy again. It is always good to see that people are getting their hands dirty in the gardens. It is really important there. We have also received all kinds of seeds. These will also be transported soon. Henk also helped with a small greenhouse, surprisingly cheap I think.
It is apparently time again to collect edible snails, it will at least yield something for the finders. Henk's photo album gives a nice insight into the daily life of the population group that Henk looks after.
Viorel and Elena have food for the people in Haranglab. They received yogurt from a dairy in Sibiu. Viorel also wants to help someone build a new house.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures sent the weekly photo series of his activities again. It is not difficult to understand that the work of Joszi and his team is important for the people in their area.

Next Wednesday, April 2, we will load a trailer that will be given the destination Marghita.
