Update 40/24 Engels

On Wednesday 2 October, the truck we were going to load with destination Marghita arrived at a favourable time. We were able to get started right after lunch and were finished on time. All the pick-up jobs also went well, so everyone went home satisfied. Another beautiful and meaningful day behind us.

We received another photo report of the normal weekly activities in Tirgu Mures. There is also a film made during the summer camp in Praid, worth clicking on. I really hope that the nice weather will remain in Romania for a while. Autumn and winter are extra difficult for many people.

Henk Muller was also busy again, he brought supplies to the flood area near Galati. Further children's programs, renovating houses etc..

Csaba from Breaza went to the farm to pick up potatoes and vegetables and sent the necessary photos of this. Jörg Breddermann also brought a trailer full of potatoes and vegetables to Ukraine. Various homes in the area of ​​Marghita also regularly receive these products.

For a while now, bread has been baked in various places from flour that comes from the farm. It works very well and it is of course great that this is possible. Imola sent photos of it.

Imola had another activity for the older ladies from Breaza. A meeting with even more ladies from other villages in Suseni, near Reghin. It looks good, it is important to meet other people from time to time.

Marin and Eniko from Band have cooked again for the children and a number of elderly people. The construction of a house has also started. It replaces a ruin where a widow lives with her children. Her husband recently died far too young and now she is on her own.

Viorel and Elena have done their best for the people in their area, including bringing food to Haranglab. There were activities in the school again and the homeless in the Tirgu Mures shelter have not been forgotten either.

The preparations for the Christmas package campaign have started again. We will make them on Thursday 7 November and Friday 8 November. This time the target number is 5,000. Please come and help with the packing, otherwise it won't work. Rob sends another email with the invitation to participate in this beautiful and important job.

Next Wednesday we will load for Breaza. Furthermore I hope for pick-up jobs and especially of food. The demand is currently greater than the supply.
