Weekly update 14/24

Another great week behind us with a lot of work done.

On Wednesday, April 3, there were collection and clean-up jobs and stock from our temporary storage was brought back to the Dulleweg.

On Thursday, April 4, there was a clothing campaign in a store in Heerhugowaard. And on Friday April 6, two trucks came to load. As a result, all the last 2.600 Easter packages are now on their way to Romania.

A few photos of the loading.

Csaba from Breaza has been busy delivering the first shipment of packages. The Phoneo Foundation from Reghin allows him to use a very handy van for this purpose.

Many packages have already been delivered to people's homes. The rumors are spreading fast and he has already received questions: when are you coming to us? The poorest people are hungry, difficult for us to imagine, but in some communities, especially Gypsy communities, this is simply a fact.

Józsi and his team from the soup kitchen for children in Tirgu Mures have sent a photo series of their activities. In addition, there is also a report on the summer activities in 2023. It is great that these activities are available for children who live under these circumstances.

Csaba has, among other things, collected seed potatoes from the farm in Marghita. Henk Muller immediately started distributing, it's great that he encourages this. Now let's hope for a good harvest.

Marin and Hennie from Band have been busy cooking food again. Building a house for a family in need. Nice work this week too.

It is never boring with Cristi and Aline in Botosani, Casa Ioana is not a static thing.
Cristi sent an Easter wish and newsletter, Madaline got married (!). The neighbor's house is for sale, an opportunity that Cristi would like to take advantage of to create space. More than 100 photos came in from distribution campaigns, I made a small selection. Worth reading,

Toth Attila from Peris sent a lot of photos of happy people who received an Easter package. Unfortunately, this has been overshadowed by an accident involving one of the children living in his orphanage. He had an accident with a runaway horse and was admitted to hospital in critical condition. I didn't think it was appropriate to post the photos of the accident.

Csaba received cuttings from Breaza miscanthus from someone. Attila wants to try out this energy crop on the farm in Marghita.

The farm is busy with spring work, sowing seeds, spreading fertilizer, you name it. The first potatoes were already planted at the beginning of March and are already emerging above the ground. The weather has been very favorable lately.

John Fracker wants to start a goat project and has received some feed from the farm.

Jan Pikes again sent photos from Ukraine. Maybe we should do more together with Jan. The pressure from the Russians is growing, with all its consequences, a sad development.

Viorel and Elena from Deaj have done a lot of work again and looked after their fellow
man. Of course, all the food that is made and the bread that is baked is beautiful.

Next Wednesday, April 10, we will load a trailer that will be destined for Breaza.

Wednesday May 29th is the day, together with Zending over Grenzen we will empty the Rai after the PLMA. Put this date in your calendar!!
