Weekly update 13/26 Engels

We have been able to conclude another productive week. On Wednesday, April 1, a trailer arrived to load goods destined for Breaza. Valuable regular relief supplies were loaded into it.

A second trailer came to load some light goods and then went to MTs. Beetsma in Wieringerwef to load 21,000 kilos of seed potatoes. These will be partially planted, but they are also very suitable for immediate consumption. It is expected that it will be unloaded in Marghita this coming Tuesday.

Wednesday was a busy day, but everything went smoothly; a number of people came to deliver goods, and there was a lot of tidying and sorting going on in the warehouse.

On Monday, March 30, a trailer arrived at Breaza to unload goods that we had loaded the previous week.

The Opel Meriva that we received from the Smakman family has been refurbished and put into use by the home care organization Diaconia from Reghin.

At Toth Attila in Peris, a trailer of seed potatoes was unloaded that had been loaded the week before at Mts. Beetsma in Wieringerwerf. Potatoes are a staple food that people really benefit from. We received an above-average number of thank-yous for this. That is not our primary goal, but it mainly indicates how dire the food situation is for many people.

Cristi from Botosani was able to distribute his share of the packages together with a team from Austria. The people were very happy with them. Some stood outside for hours waiting as word of their arrival began to spread.

Reghina from Ticau has also been handing out generously again, including her share of the packages.

Marin and Eniko have also been busy with their activities again. Marin picked up a portion of the potatoes at Toth Attila. Unfortunately, his car couldn't handle this (too) heavy load very well.

Viorel and Elena's weekly report is impressive once again. The potatoes from Mts Beetsma in Wieringerwerf ended up in the right place there as well. Alongside all the other food prepared and distributed by Viorel, Elena, and their team members, this makes a significant contribution to the aid for these destitute people.

The same certainly applies to Joszi and his team in Tîrgu Mureș. As I have written so
often: the photos speak for themselves.

Attila from the farm in Marghita sent photos of the distribution of packages and food, of the arrival of sacks of flour, and of the installation of the new irrigation system, a so-called Pivo.

Ilja Witte from Phoneo in Reghin shared a number of photos of the package campaign. They were also very happy with the amazing package there.

My intention was to keep the blog short this time, but due to the many posts and photos, that proved impossible. In any case, it gives a good overview of what we are working on and how important our work is.

We wish you blessed and happy Easter days.
