Weekly update 5/26 Engels
In the new year, we're also fully committed to sending as many goods as possible to our projects in Romania. We also try to support our partners who send relief supplies to Ukraine as much as possible.
Jan Pilkes of Caritas was able to load another trailer (mostly his own supplies) in De Rijp. Jorg Breddermann delivered a trailer full of clothing (his own supplies) to his projects. How the people there are supposed to survive in this horribly cold period while the Russians are trying to destroy as much as possible and bomb civilian targets (?) is truly horrific.
On Wednesday, February 4th, we loaded a trailer going to Breaza. It turned out to be a nice, varied load of valuable items, including a large quantity of food. After lunch, we had to work another hour before it could leave. The collections also went well; it's great that so many people were willing to volunteer.

The trailer we loaded the week before also arrived in Breaza on February 4th. Csaba and Imola are also receiving requests for help from all sides. They can usually accommodate these requests because we keep their warehouse stock well-stocked.

The second trailer we loaded the week before arrived at Marghita's house on Friday, February 6th. It took a little longer because some paperwork had to be updated regarding the UT code. Fortunately, there were no serious problems.

Viorel and Elena have had a busy week, as the photos and his brief explanation clearly demonstrate. The new house for the severely disabled woman, which I wrote about earlier after our visit there, is now also insulated and equipped with a stove.

Joszi has all the kitchen equipment together. We're waiting for the delivery in the meantime, the pan on a tripod over an open fire is proving very useful.

Next Wednesday, we'll be loading a trailer for Breaza, and hospital beds will be included.
Marina Molenaar told us that the Festina Lente nursing home in Assendelft has 50 beds available. Jan Pilkes will pick them up; half will then go to Ukraine and the other half to Romania.
On Wednesday, we'll be loading a trailer for Breaza.
We'll be packing Easter packages again on March 12th and 13th. Please come and help us with this. It is important for the people we care about.
