It was an honorable, but also a challenging invitation from the Zending over Grenzen Foundation, just like last year, to collect the remaining articles from the PLMA fair together. Wednesday 24 May came closer and closer and the tension was rising without enough volunteers it certainly wouldn't work. Applications came in slowly. In the end it all worked out, there were more than 125 people in total to help. The catering team did a lot of useful work, the people of the RAI cooperated well, as did those of their service provider CEVA. It is nice to see that we “emptied” the enormous building in a relatively short period of time. Loading the trucks took a while, but that also went well. The same evening the first three were released in Sint Pancras, so for a number of people it was really late. On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May, the loyal helpers came to the sorting location at the Spanjaarsdam in Sint Pancras. Here, the refrigerated products and the products that do not require refrig...

Siem has loaded another trailer full of beautiful clothing in Weesp. On Wednesday there were more collection jobs and we were able to load a trailer with destination Breaza. This all went smoothly and neatly. The truck has been in Romania since Friday. On Friday he crossed the border with Romania, the unloading will take place on Monday in Breaza. Here is the link to photos. Henk Muller has been in full action again, in addition to building houses, he has also organized a clean-up campaign. Many things have improved in a relatively short time thanks to the efforts of Henk and Marin in Band. Good for the people that they receive this support.  Here is the link to photos. Mucuijozsef Jozsef of the soup kitchen from Tirgu Mures has made a quarterly report. It is not an easy job for Józsi and h...

Monday, April 24, we were able to pick up a trailer with beautiful clothing in Weesp. Thanks to St. HRIF for this. On Wednesday, April 26, we did a lot of work with a relatively small group, there was a lot of repacking work and also collection jobs to do. Not to mention two trucks were loaded at the same time. It is nice to see that there are people who are so committed to the work of our foundation. The following stories from our local contact persons make it clear that this is useful and necessary. Here is the link to photos. Saturday 29 April the first truck was unloaded at the farm in Marghita. The second truck was partly unloaded in Ticau on Saturday, the remaining part of the load is still on its way to Botosani. New rules caused problems at the border in the contents of the truck and the papers. Attila from the farm solved this in an excellent way, many thanks to him for that. Here the link to pictures of the unloading on the farm. Reghina from Ticau was happy with the items an...

On Monday, April 17, we were able to pick up a nice batch of clothing at HRIF in Weesp. A good start to the week. It was a great opportunity for a good conversation with the Veenstra family. It is truly unbelievable what these people achieve together. Here is the link to their latest newsletter. Wednesday, April 19, we were able to load a trailer with destination Breaza. It has become a nice varied load. At 13:00 the driver was able to start driving, on Friday he crossed the Hungary/Romania border without any problems and on Saturday morning unloading took place in Breaza. There were still a few pick-up jobs. There were fewer volunteers than we are used to, but everything went well. Here is the link to pictures of the loading. In Romania it unexpectedly started snowing and not a little bit, in the north of the country this caused a lot of inconvenience. Closed roads and no air traffic from Iasi or Suceava for example. Everything was more or less normal again on Saturday, Cristi said. He sent a lot of pictures of the distribution of the packages and the snow nuisance. There was a lot of help from Denmark, Austria and Germany, about 50 people in total. It's nice to have a background, but so many people visiting at the same time is quite a bit. Here is the link to photos. The problems for farmers with the sale of grain due to its dumping from Ukraine have led to protests with tractors by farmers. The problem is the same in Poland, there are protests there too. Here is the link to photos. On Tuesday, April 4, we loaded a trailer with a small group that first unloaded to Marghita and loaded potatoes and vegetables there with destination Breaza. This all went smoothly on Thursday there was already unloading i...
