Weekly update 34 en 35/25 Engels
Saturday afternoon, Huibert and I returned home from a successful hiking holiday in the Harz mountains. We had a great time together.
Now, a quick catch-up on the blog, a two-week report. It won't be entirely complete. The number of WhatsApp messages and photos I've received in two weeks is simply too much. Unfortunately, my computer isn't working as well.
On Wednesday, August 20th, we loaded a trailer with relief supplies. Rob's motorcycle and mine were part of the sub load, due to our annual motorcycle tour from Romania.
Loading went smoothly, and we were able to put together another nice load. In the meantime, we tidied up the necessary items and packed the last of the pasta. The combination was taken by road to Breaza.

The driver was home in his hometown of Dej on Friday afternoon. The trailer was unloaded on Monday morning, August 25th. Everything arrived safely, and there were no problems along the way. The authorities in Romania seem to be causing fewer problems in the world of transport lately.

The recipients are always happy with the goods. They don't all express this in glowing reports, but the signals are positive. The need is also evident from the weekly photo series.
Henk Muller sent a whole series of photos, including a short explanation.

Toth Attila from Peris shared photos from the past week with a short explanation.

Marin and Eniko from Band have continued their wonderful work in recent weeks. They were also able to distribute goods from the depot in Breaza.

Viorel and Elana from Deaj are already doing a lot, but they could and would like to do even more, Viorel wrote. He has been elected chairman of an association of about 100 churches in Romania. This has given him even more insight into the situation in these communities. See his question in the album below.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures also shared many photos. Good to see and know that our work is not in vain.

Jörg Breddermann has picked up another beautiful shipment of vegetables and potatoes from Attila's farm in Margitha. The cargo has now been unloaded in Ukraine. Unfortunately, this senseless war seems to be continuing, and help is desperately needed.

Fortunately, a large shipment of goods has arrived in the past few days. Next Wednesday, September 3rd, we will load a trailer that will go to the farm in Margitha.
On Thursday, September 4th, Hesva, Rob, Geeske, Jaap, and I will fly to Cluj Napoca. We'll be leaving Breaza for a 10-day motorcycle trip on September 5th, together with Jan Valk, Imola, Csaba, Melinda, and Csaba (2). It's not entirely certain whether we'll be able to keep up with the blog in between.
