Weekly update 11/25 Engels.

We can look back on a week in which we used our time and energy in a good way. It is not nothing to make 5,700 packages, a number we have never achieved before.

The messages from our people in Romania about not having enough food and how they look forward to receiving a package is motivating in any case.

We succeeded, everyone who helped, thank you very much.

On Monday 10 March the last items that were needed to make the packages arrived. We checked everything, put it in the right place, placed the roller conveyor and made everything ready to go.

On Tuesday 11 March in the afternoon/evening a number of groups of young people from the Reformed Church in Broek op Langedijk got to work. The result was that the first eight hundred packages were ready for shipping.

On Wednesday 12 March we picked up some more items with a relatively small team and checked everything again. We also finished the catering department of Rob and Hesva.

On Thursday 12 March, 80 people came to help with the packing, all with different backgrounds but with a common goal, we are going to do this job. At the end of the day, a total of 3,540 were ready. Thirty-three pallets with 1,320 packages were loaded immediately. At 21:00 in Venlo, the container with packages was lifted from the chassis of the trailer and transferred to a railway wagon. The train then left for Oradea in Romania, where it will be put back on the chassis of a trailer for the last part to Margitha.

On Friday 13 March, we were able to finish it and at around 15:00 we were done packing the 5,700 packages. It is great that this was successful and that everything went well. Everyone who contributed, thank you very much.

The trailer that we loaded on March 5th arrived in Breaza on March 12th. The distribution started immediately. Just like with the packages, the help in the form of sending food is now very important. All reserves are gone and the garden or nature do not yield anything yet. Working as a day laborer or doing seasonal work abroad, this is also still on the back burner at this time of year.

The elderly program in Breaza is a success, just meeting each other is already important. The activities make people think differently. Being lonely or feeling lonely seems very bad to me, this project from Imola helps prevent this.

Henk Muller travels a lot and also indicated how important the items are that he receives and can distribute via the Breaza depot. Henk would like to receive seed potatoes for the gardens. Unfortunately we haven't found them yet, they are scarce and expensive.

Marin and Eniko have prepared food, distributed goods and built the house for the disabled boy.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures sent a sad story about a man who had his foot amputated andwho lives in an impossible shack. Very bad of course, I hope we can help Joszi with a solution for this.

Furthermore, it was the usual routine for Joszi and his team. Making and distributing food, letting the children shower and provide them with clean clothes. After-school care and distributing, among other things, the supplies from the Netherlands.

Next Wednesday we will load two trailers, the first one goes to Ticau and Botosani. The second one goes to Breaza. We will mainly be loading packages of course. There will also be some pick-up jobs.
