Weekly update 27/26 Engels
The past week did not go entirely as planned. On Wednesday, July 3, the scheduled trailer did not show up. A disrupted schedule for European freight trains was cited as the reason. Fortunately, there was enough work for all the volunteers present, and we were still able to spend the day meaningfully.
The next day, we were able to load. A truck arrived heading to Marghita by road. Arrival there is scheduled for this coming Monday. We managed to put together a loading crew, and the driver also lent a hand. Around midday, Hesva provided a delicious lunch – all's well that ends well.

The trailer we loaded a week earlier has also been delayed by rail. It will finally unload in Breaza this coming Monday. Unfortunately, with the current high temperatures, that is not ideal.
Csaba sent an addition to the photos of the goods distribution of the last unloaded truck.

Marin and Enico have cooked for the children again and put together packages for them. The renovation of the cottage for the man with cancer is progressing steadily, and Sara's cottage has also been spruced up a bit.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures wrote that the 16-year-old girl who lived in a tent in the woods with her boyfriend and their child was taken away by Child Protective Services. I hope they end up in a good place.
Joszi sent photos of the man who received a residential container a few years ago. A leg prosthesis is now being fitted for him, which will give him more possibilities again.

The “regular” activities also continued; there are once again impressive images among them.

Henk Muller is now back in the Netherlands. In Romania, he helped with the construction of a sports field and a water well. See the photo album for more information. The beekeeper without protective clothing is remarkable, to say the least.

Viorel and Elena have cooked and distributed food again. In addition, work has started
on the renovation and expansion of a small house to make it suitable for helping children in Haranglab. This includes providing meals, schooling, showers, clean clothes, and education. It is wonderful to see how enthusiastically everyone is helping out.

From Tuesday through Saturday, Nico, Gerrit, and I will be paying a working visit to some of our projects in Romania. As a result, an update on this blog will probably not be possible next week.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who contributes to these activities in any way. Without your efforts, none of this would be possible.
On Wednesday, the familiar pick-up jobs and repacking activities are on the schedule again.
