Lucrurile au mers puțin diferit săptămâna trecută față de planul inițial. Au sosit mărfuri suplimentare, pe care a trebuit să le transportăm din cauza datelor de expirare. Prin urmare, am încărcat o remorcă miercuri și joi. Încărcarea a decurs fără probleme miercuri, 17 decembrie. Șoferul era destul de preocupat de greutatea pe care urma să o încărcăm. În Ungaria, în special, există măsuri stricte de aplicare a legii pentru camioanele și remorcile supraponderale, iar amenzile sunt mari. Things went a little differently last week than originally planned. Additional goods arrived, which we needed to transport due to their expiration dates. Therefore, we loaded a trailer on Wednesday and Thursday. Loading went smoothly on Wednesday, December 17th. The driver was quite preoccupied with the weight we were going to load. In Hungary, in particular, there are strict enforcement measures for overweight trucks and trailers, and the fines are hefty. It didn't cause any problems, and around noon the two drivers left for their trip to Breaza, 2,000 kilometers east. Here's a link to a photo album. Wednesday evening was our annual tradition: a dinner with the volunteers at China Garden a Chinese restaurant in Broek op Langedijk. We enjoyed a lavish and delicious meal there. Anul acesta, multe mărfuri au fost distribuite prin depozitul din Breaza. Săptămâna aceasta, din cauza întârzierii trenului, un camion a descărcat acolo trei zile la rând. S-a dovedit a fi o încărcătură frumoasă și variată. Au fost colectări, cel mai îndepărtat punct fiind Heerenveen, de unde am ridicat un palet de semințe. De la vecinul nostru, Hekos, am primit un palet de prăjituri stratificate, iar de la St. Manna, am primit doi metri cubi de cutii de cartofi și doi metri cubi de cutii de ceapă. This year, many goods were distributed through the depot in Breaza. This week, due to the train delay, a truck unloaded there three days in a row. It was incredibly busy there; Csaba sent some photos. Here's the link to a photo album. On Wednesday, December 10th, we were able to load a trailer again, bound for this destination. It turned out to be a nice, varied load. There were collections, the furthest point being Heerenveen, where we picked up a pallet of seeds. Mainly flower seeds; it could brighten things up a bit in 2026. Another trailer unloaded with various types of paper goods. From our neighbor, Hekos, we received a pallet of layer cakes, and from St. Manna, we received two cubic meters of boxes of potatoes and two cubic meters of boxes of onions. Am avut o săptămână relativ liniștită. Depozitul nostru nu este supraaglomerat, dar cu siguranță nu este încă gol. Dintre cele trei camioane pe care le-am încărcat cu o săptămână mai devreme, cel cu cele trei adrese a fost descărcat. Celelalte două au fost transportate în mare parte cu trenul și au avut întârzieri. Primul va ajunge la Breaza luni viitoare. Imola a postat un mesaj pe blogul ei. Csaba și Imola văd de aproape mulți oameni în zonele dificile și știu mai bine decât oricine că este nevoie de ajutor. Puteți renunța la tot felul de gânduri despre cum și de ce, dar cel mai bine este pur și simplu să facem ceva împreună. We've had a relatively quiet week. Our warehouse isn't overcrowded, but certainly not empty yet. Of the three trucks we loaded a week earlier, the one with the three addresses has been unloaded. The other two were largely transported by train and have been delayed. The first one will arrive in Breaza next Monday. Imola has posted a message on her blog. Csaba and Imola see many people in and around trouble up close and know better than anyone that help is needed. You can let go of all sorts of thoughts about the how and why, but the best thing is simply to do something together.
