Weekly update 8/25 Engels

The past week was a bit quieter than the previous weeks. This was not so bad, especially because quite a few volunteers were absent due to illness, vacation and for various other reasons.

On Wednesday February 19th we loaded another trailer with beautiful and useful items for the people in Romania. The loading went well and smoothly, it was very cold, especially for the forklift driver. You sit almost still the whole time and then you get cold, I have experienced it myself. The atmosphere was still great and the lunch was well organized by Hesva. So in the end we looked back on the day with a satisfied feeling. The collection jobs also went smoothly.

The trailer that we had loaded the week before was unloaded in Breaza on Thursday.

On Wednesday ten tons of flour arrived from the farm in Marghita. This then goes to a bakery in Breaza that bakes bread for the projects in the region. Also to a nursing home in Deda, where a local baker bakes bread from it. Thanks to this and other contributions via us, they can take better care of their residents, it gives them a little more leeway. Viorel in Deaj is an important customer, what he does with it can be seen almost every week on this blog.

Viorel and Elena from Deaj, like every week, have been looking unseen at the homeless from Tirgu-Mures, as well as the people in the neighborhood by the river there and the very poor people in Haranglab. A lot of work under difficult circumstances.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures helps the people and children in his area there. It is really on the edge of the city and you would think that the government would do something about that. It remains words, but actions fail to materialize. Joszi and his team are indispensable for the people there for the time being.

Next Wednesday a trailer will arrive that we will load for Marghita. There are also all kinds of other jobs to be done.
