Weekly update 6/25 Engels

It was time to order the groceries for the Easter packages. It has become a time-consuming search to make a good package that is also affordable. This time a smaller part comes from Romania than the previous times. In Romania we did our shopping at the Penny Market, part of the German REWE group. This time we placed the largest part of the order at the Lidl branch in Heerhugowaard. In the end we managed to put together a nice package again. Not unimportant is that we also receive products for free via partners in our network, these come from overproduction etc..

On March 13 and 14 we can make 5.700 packages. We need a lot of people for this again, please help us make them.

On Wednesday we were able to load a trailer for Marghita, this time with slightly less food and cookies than we were used to. Still a nice load that will undoubtedly end up well. Attila unfortunately felled by the flu, just like his wife and youngest daughter.

The truck arrived at 10:30 and in the afternoon it was able to go to the train station in Venlo. There were some pick-up jobs and there was also enough repacking work. It was a useful day.

In Breaza, the second truck that we loaded on January 22 also arrived on February 4. Things went a bit strangely with the transport from the train station in Oradea to Breaza, but fortunately no problems and everything arrived.

The truck that had loaded on January 29 arrived and was unloaded on Friday morning, February 7, this also went well.

The customers at the depot were happy with it again and were in “the queue” to pick up some. There was the possibility to buy another batch of wood briquettes in Reghin. This was also in great demand. Not so surprising when you see which people it ends up with.

Reghina from Ticau has gone one step further, it seems. From Marghita she has received more items from the Netherlands and potatoes and vegetables. For her this means making packages, making food and distributing it. A lot of work and nice for the people she cares for.

Marin and Eniko from Band have made meals for the children and a few elderly people. Csaba had brought a whole batch of food, cookies and wood briquettes, packages were made and distributed. We were able to send a batch of new shoes and clothing to Breaza. Some of this also ended up in Band, Marin said that he could make school children happy with it. They were very happy with it of course and just like here it is important that you look good at school, especially in connection with the pecking order. Children also received shirts for their football club. We are happy with the support center in Band under the leadership of Marin and Eniko.

Just like every week, Viorel and Elena from Deaj have done a lot of work again. This year I think that together we will make sure that something will structurally improve in Haranglab. It is a tough job, but doing nothing is not an option.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures is also busy, fortunately he is not alone, he has a small team and people from his church behind him. This time he has sent not only photos but also a report with an overview of his activities.
