Weekbericht 4/25 Engels

We have received and sent quite a lot of goods this past week. It is always great to experience all this. Especially because we know that our efforts are not in vain. Through our network in Romania, it ends up with the people who really need it.

On Wednesday 22 January, we were able to load two trailers, both with destination Breaza. We were able to start with the first trailer at 9 am and with the second at 11:30 am. This went smoothly and gave us some space in our storage. We were able to pick up 90 mattresses from the NW hospital in Den Helder. The hospital beds from Zeist and some of the mattresses are going to a hospital in Tirgu Mures. An existing "customer" where we have already delivered beds here via Imola and Csaba. There were more pick-up jobs. Lunch was again well provided by Hesva. After the work was finished, we had a nice "afterparty" for a while. All in all, it was a day well spent.

On Thursday, Gerard-Jan and Siem retrieved a few loads from the temporary storage at the Spanjaardsdam. This included items that are intended for the Easter packages.

The package campaigns are such a success that we have decided to increase production a bit. We are going to make 600 more than last time, a total of 5.700.

The trailer that we loaded on January 15 was unloaded on the farm in Marghita on January 23. They are happy with it and the distribution has started.

Jorg Breddermann will be loading potatoes and vegetables at the farm on Monday to take to Ukraine. The items that he loaded at our place in Broek op Langedijk on January 8 will have been delivered to their destination in Ukraine by then.

Inci from Salard sent a series of photos and a report of the distribution of the packages, mixed with the children's program and the elderly program. It is great that Inci and Domien are doing this in the village there.

It has been a long time since Domien's parents, Clara and Rene Timmer, started this. In 2005, Jannie and I visited the family and stayed in a guesthouse, with pigs grunting happily as neighbors.

Here is the link to a few photos from back then.

Henk Muller is back in Romania and has started full speed again with his many activities.

Here is the link to Henk's report.

Marin and Eniko from Band cooked for the children twice again and were able to distribute the items that Csaba brought from Breaza.

Viorel and Elena from Deaj continue tirelessly. A few weeks ago, Viorel asked for shoes and clothing for the children from Haranglab. A sponsor made it possible to make €500 available for this. At the market in Tirgu Mures, Elena and Viorel were able to buy a whole lot for this. It was great to see how happy the children were with this. The photo report, which also includes images of cooking food, baking bread and handing it out, contains impressive images.

Reghina from Ticau received goods from the last transport to the farm in Marghita and had the opportunity to do some shopping at a supermarket. She continues to distribute, this time also hot food.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures has also been active again with the bath and clean clothes program as well as the meal distribution from his soup kitchen.

Next Wednesday a trailer will be loaded, this one will also be destined for Breaza.
