Weekly update 47/24 Engels
The Christmas parcels, which were made with great dedication by our volunteers, were all sent to a cold Romania. On Wednesday morning, November 20, two trailers arrived to load. It was a tough job, but early in the afternoon, the two trucks with 2.640 Christmas parcels and additional cargo were on their way to the railway station in Venlo for the train journey to Oradea.

On Thursday, November 21, the 3rd trailer arrived, this also went smoothly and this batch of 1,340 parcels was also on its way to Romania. The weight per trailer was approximately 23.000 kilos, so in the four trailers of Christmas parcels a total of 92.000 kilos.

On Tuesday, November 19, the first parcels, which we had loaded on November 13, arrived in Marghita. They are now waiting there for further distribution around Christmas.
A day later, the truck came to unload at Marin Kroon in Floresti.

Miranda and Gerard-Jan had to end their trip to Romania prematurely. This was due to the severely deteriorating health of Gerard-Jan's mother.
They made a photo album of the part of the trip that they were able to make.

Marin from Band went to Hungary on Friday 15 November to ensure that the man I wrote about last time could be buried in Band. He was unlucky, the autopsy could only take place on 22 November, he spent a lot of time waiting. The funeral will probably now be on Tuesday 26 November.
Cooking the food went just as well as building the house in Band. A strong team there.

Viorel from Deaj is building houses in the district on the river in Tirgu Mures. The concrete for the floor and the foundation came with a concrete mixer truck, which saved a lot of work. As can be seen in the photos, the work was not carried out under easy circumstances.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures sent another impressive series of photos. The winter weather makes it all the worse than it already is to have to live like this.

Henk Muller has participated in all kinds of activities. In the beautiful city of Sighișoara there was a fire in a gypsy neighbourhood. Fire safety is at a low level in these kinds of neighbourhoods with all kinds of stoves and open fires. It is very sad for those involved that they have lost their home.

Reghina from Ticau also sent another series of photos of her work.

On Monday 25 November I will go to the farm in Marghita together with Gerrit Beetsma and then we will go to Breaza. From Breaza we will meet a number of our contacts. Saturday November 30th we will make the journey home.
There are cleaning and pick-up jobs next Wednesday, I will report about this via the group app.
