In Breaza, the truck that we had loaded the week before arrived and was unloaded there.

On Thursday 7 November, part-time volunteers arrived, about 75 men/women and the parcels rolled off the conveyor belt at a steady pace. It went smoothly in a good atmosphere with coffee, sandwiches and soup on time. At 2:30 PM, approximately 2.500 were ready and everyone went home satisfied. At the location on the Spanjaardsdam, a truck was loaded with relief supplies and the first 8 pallets of Christmas packages. These are now on their way to Breaza.

This was repeated on Friday, November 8, partly with new people, at 12:30 PM, the 5.100 packages were ready for shipment. We can look back on it with satisfaction, it was great to experience again. Once again, many thanks to everyone who helped and made this possible.

Everyone can see how this continues via this blog. Where and to which people do the packages end up and how important is this? The answer to these questions can be seen and read here in the coming weeks.

Marin and Eniko from Band have also prepared a meal for children and the elderly twice in the past week. This was not done in a fancy kitchen but simply in a large pan on a wood fire. Just try to do it yourself.

Marin was surprised that new residents had arrived in his neighbourhood, he had not seen this family before. A man, woman and six children had left the Velea Reca neighbourhood near Tirgu Mures and built a very simple hut in Band. This was made of some tree trunks, blankets and rugs and there is also a “stove”. They are careful people according to Marin, but very poor. The man does not smoke, does not drink alcohol and is kind to his wife and children.

The family does not have the correct identity papers, Marin is going to help them get this in order. Quite a job, I understand, he has to go to the mayor of Band and the town hall of Cluj Napoca. The question for us is: do you want to finance the construction of a 25 m2 house and a stove? It is about € 3,200, - then I can arrange this with my construction team. Fortunately, we were able to do this again this time thanks to sponsors, the construction started immediately.

Viorel and Elena from Band have not been sitting still again, what a job these people do. How people and children live there is and remains difficult to believe and to accept that this is just the way it is. We do what we can and make it possible for Viorel and Elena to be there for these people. Providing help empty-handed is not possible.
