The preparations for making the Christmas parcels are going well, it looks like everything is going to fall into place again. Food aid is important, there are still a lot of people in Romania who could really use a helping hand. The level of prosperity is increasing, but is not yet equally distributed, for the really poor people nothing has changed. It is therefore simply a nice and useful campaign that benefits a lot of people.
On Wednesday 30 October we were able to start loading a trailer with destination Breaza at 9 am. It has become a nice load and we were able to free up space for the parcel campaign. There were pick-up jobs and this also went well.
Two trailers came to the farm in Marghita to pick up the goods for the parcel campaign. These were brought there by Penny-Market, part of the German group REWE, which made a great offer.
Csaba from Breaza came to pick up a load of potatoes. The truck that we had loaded in Broek op Langedijk on 23 October was also unloaded that day. In addition to the normal work on the farm, a lot of extra work for Attila and his team. Unfortunately, we were unable to take many photos.
On Thursday 31 October, we were able to pick up two loads that we will partly use for the parcel campaign. So the warehouse was only really spacious for a short while.
On Friday morning at 9:30 am, the first truck from Romania was already in Broek op Langedijk. Together with the two Romanian drivers, we unloaded it. After that, Jan Valk and I started to put the products in order. When we got going, we couldn't stop anymore and by the end of the afternoon it was already starting to look pretty good.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures has built a nice little house for the family with eight children, whose hut had collapsed. It looks good, it even has a gas connection and there is also electricity. The photos show a happy family, it's good that we were able to make this possible. If it works out, I'll have a cup of tea with them sometime.
