Weekly update 43/24 Engels
Wednesday 23 October everything went smoothly. The trailer that we were going to
load for Marghita was already there at 8 o'clock, so we could start loading right after coffee. There were enough people and enough jobs. The repacking work that had to be done went well and the pick-up jobs also did not cause any problems. We need a lot of space for the parcel campaign, that will work out. Next Wednesday we will load another trailer with destination Breaza and then we will have enough space for this great campaign.
The trailer that we had loaded on Thursday 17 October was unloaded in Breaza on 23 October. This time the transport did not take long. The recipients were happy with it again. Csaba and Imola shared two photo albums of the unloading and distribution of the trucks that arrived there from Broek op Langedijk.

Reghina from Ticau has been busy handing out, many people have been made happy there again.
Joszi from Tirgu Mures immediately started building a house for the homeless family I wrote about last time after we were able to give the green light. It is going well, a few experienced construction workers are getting help from the entire family and then things are moving quickly. It is a neighborhood with many problems and poverty is the norm there. This family with eight children will soon have shelter again. I am always curious about the reaction of these people and their life stories, I will come back to it another time.
The meal provision has also continued, it is hard to imagine how things are going there. Good that Joszi and his team are there.
Marin and Enico have also put their shoulder to the wheel. Providing food to children and the elderly twice a week is and remains important. You keep wondering why they never clean up in these kinds of neighborhoods and just drop everything behind their .... Education in this area would help, what is not in there will not come out.
At Phoneo in Reghin everything is running at full speed, there is a coming and going of groups from the Netherlands and recently from Germany, who help with the various projects of Phoneo. Poor people benefit from this and for the visitors it is often an eye-opener to see the difference with their home country.
Henk Muller is busy with many things at the same time, his network is very large. His activities give a good picture of what it is like in poor neighborhoods.
Viorel and Elena from Deaj has not been sitting still in the past week and he has been renovating houses. As you can see in the photos, it was also very much needed there. Just like providing food. It is beautiful work that Viorel and Elena do, but it is not easy to deal with these serious forms of poverty every day. This time he writes in the explanation about the death of a child in an impossible shed. Very sad of course, but the harsh reality, poor housing, bad or no food, cold and wet, vermin in abundance and medical care is often inaccessible for these people.

Next Wednesday we will load for Breaza and also continue with the preparations for the Christmas package campaign.
If you want to help make the packages on November 7 and 8, do not hesitate and register. A message to stichtingpromotie@gmail.com is enough.
