Weekly update 31/24 Engels

On Wednesday, another trailer with valuable goods was sent to Romania, this time for the projects that we support from Marghita. Loading could start after lunch and went very smoothly. We were able to make good use of the morning by repacking and stacking our stock and collecting goods. Despite the holiday period, there were at least 10 volunteers in action.

On Thursday, a trailer came to unload with very useful items and we were also able to collect a nice load in Amsterdam. Our stock is well maintained with useful and especially edible goods. It is good that in this way we are transferring some of the prosperity from the Netherlands to very poor people in other countries.

Henk Muller sent photos of his adventures with the evangelism campaign around the Eiffel Tower.

Marin and Eniko did their job again this week. It is great that we can help with this.

Joszi from Tirgu Mures was too late with his photo report last week to be able to post it on this blog. This time a double episode. There were also summer camps there, very good for these children.

I think the truck that we loaded for Ukraine for the Jorg Bredderman project has arrived there. The intention is that it will come to the farm in Marghita to load potatoes on Monday 5 August and also bring them back to Ukraine.

Reghina from Ticau is busy with children's camps. There are many places in Romania where these kinds of activities are fun and important for these children.

Toth Attila from Peris also made many children happy with activities during summer camps. There was a fire at the greenhouses for vegetable cultivation, fortunately the damage was limited thanks to the fire brigade.

In the depot of Csaba and Imola in Breaza there is a constant coming and going of people who come to collect relief supplies. The flour from the farm goes to a number of local bakeries that bake bread from it. This then ends up with the people we all look after. It started small, with our Kees as baker. It is growing in a different way than we first envisioned, but it is going in the right direction.

In Getz they use the baking container very regularly.

Next Wednesday we will load another truck, this one is going to Breaza. Rob and I have a collection job on Tuesday.
