Weekly update 33/23

The days seem to follow each other faster. Apart from that, another trailer was loaded with relief goods in Broek op Langedijk on Wednesday 16 August. This time with destination Botosani, with a stopover in Marghita.

The driver did not experience any serious problems at the border, but a truck that was on his way sent them back. Not the right papers or a “dirty” load?

On Friday afternoon the farm was unloaded and potatoes, onions and vegetables were loaded and on Saturday afternoon unloading took place in Botosani. Cristi was very happy with it. Attached are the photos of the unloading and some of the distribution to poor people living in villages around Botosani. Part of this cargo goes to the Ukraine, collection by vans by Igor is becoming increasingly difficult due to the stricter border controls.

The BBQ for volunteers and sympathizers, which we were able to organize yesterday (19-08) in the garden of Jaap and Geeske in Schagerbrug. Was a great success again. With 38 people also well attended, we lacked for nothing and it was fun. Thank you everyone who made this possible.

Next Wednesday we will load for Breaza, the truck will make a stopover in Marghita and will receive flour, potatoes and vegetables. Unfortunately, the supply of food in the Netherlands is currently stalling. This way we can handle this.
