Weekly update 5/22
The week started on Monday 31 January in stormy weather with picking up a batch of new boots from Aldi in Culemborg and Groenlo. A nice party that we can make a lot of people happy with. Jan Valk and I were working on it all day.
Tuesday 1 February Nico and Haye went to pick up a load at the Waypoint second-hand store there, we always get useful stuff from them. It is a large organization, the net proceeds go to aid for addicts.
The 5th truck of relief goods in 2022 was loaded on Wednesday 2 February, this time with destination Marghita and Ticau. We had a nice stock, very suitable for sending to our target group in Romania. The problem was that the storage was quite full and not everything was well organized. With combined forces, it worked out well and the truck was loaded at a good pace. There were again a number of pick-up jobs and all in all it was a well spent day for the people who voluntarily invest their time in this.
Friday morning, February 4, the truck was unloaded at the farm in Marghita, this also
went well. Attila loaded a batch of potatoes, onions and carrots and on Friday afternoon the rest was unloaded at Reghina in Ticau.
The farm also acted as a hub for another organization that had collected supplies for aid workers in Oradea.
Reghina from Ticau was happy again that she could continue to support the many poor people in her area.
It has been busy in Breaza with the delivery of the relief supplies. The 15 hospital beds went to a psychiatric hospital in Târnăveni, they were very happy with it. It all seems to be very old, even by Romanian standards. Also some photos of the handing out by the team of John Fracker. The electric wheelchair that we had provided works and has been used by the disabled man.
With Mr Piu from Filpișu Mic, whose house was renovated/rebuilt under the leadership of Csaba Fazakas in 2019, things are going well under the circumstances. The winter is often very difficult for him and he temporarily goes to the care center in Deda, this time not (yet).
Here are the photos from back then.
A few recent photos of Mr. Piu
From Breaza, Csaba brought the 5.000 packs of bread mix we had sent with the last transport to Breaza to Henk Muller and Viorel in Deaj. Viorel and a number of people from the village immediately got to work. The production of a (long) day amounted to no less than 440 loaves of 1,300 grams. Henk immediately started handing out, the photos with an explanation speak for themselves. Here too, the help from Broek op Langedijk has been well received.Toth Attila from Reghin/Peris sent us a video in which he explains the importance of after-school care.

Cristi from Botosani sent a few photos of the meal delivery to the homeless in Botosani. He was not allowed to attend because of the corona virus.
Here is the link to a few photos.
Next week there will be several pick-up jobs and we will load a truck with destination Breaza.
