Weekly update 25/21

Thanks in part to the Manna Foundation from Alkmaar (www.stmannaschermer.nl) and the HIRF Foundation from Weesp (www.hrif.nl), we were able to send a valuable aid transport to Romania again this week. It is worth clicking on the link to their websites and to get an impression of the great work they do.

On Tuesday 15 June, a small group was busy collecting goods and dividing and packaging the (almost) last Frisian sheep cheese.

On Wednesday 16 June a truck was loaded with destination Botosani, a fairly heavy load that will be unloaded there on Monday 22 June. There were also pick-up jobs at various addresses, for example at Noorderhaven in Julianadorp, at the clothing bank in Egmond, just like a beautiful high/low bed at a private person there. Despite the warm weather, a lot of work was done by the volunteers this time as well.

It is regularly bad weather.

Cristi from Botosani has a lot of support from a team from Austria he sent a lot pictures of their activities. These give a good picture of that.

Reghina from Ticau also continues steadfastly, with the last transport we had given a number of doors, these have been given a good destination.

Imola from Breaza sent photos of the unloading of the truck on June 12 and later the collection and partial distribution of the relief supplies. The wheelchair for the handicapped boy has ended up well. An elderly woman with cancer from Reghin also got one, there is even more demand. Clothing is still very welcome, this time the hospital beds have gone to a new care center to be opened in Lunca Mures. Beautiful things still happen with such a truckload of relief goods. Viorel picked up the goods that Henk Muller brought to Broek op Langedijk, together with some extras. Toth Attila has also gotten a good deal.

Toth Attila has a shop in Peris with 2nd hand goods, people can buy stuff there for small prices and Attila creates income for his projects. These goods partly come from the Netherlands, to boost this activity he organized a yard sale yesterday, it was a huge success.

Henk Muller sent photos taken by Viorel in Deaj and surroundings, plenty there too activities and pictures of conditions under which people live that we can hardly imagine here.

Attila from the farm in Margitha sent photos and a message about distributing goods from the farm. After a year and a half will meet again in July, looking forward to it.

Many thanks to everyone who supports us, it is still amazing that we can send a truck full of relief supplies to people in need almost every week!

Next Wednesday, June 23, we will load for Deaj and there are pick-up jobs to do.
