Weekly update 16/21

Tuesday, April 12, we were able to pick up beds again at Zuyder Waert in Heerhugowaard, this time more than 20 beds.

Henk Muller sent a message on Tuesday morning with the request to collect six pallets of sunflower seeds and half a pallet of tropical fruits from a wholesaler in Rotterdam. The bed collection team, Siem and Gerrit, could do this in between 😊. A nice solution it could be loaded the next day for Henk in Deaj.

Loading the truck with destination Breaza and Deaj went smoothly and without problems on Wednesday. Another nice usable load. There were also a few pick-up jobs and some tidying up.

Cristi again sent many photos of the construction of the extension of Casa Ioana, the distribution of goods and also of the receipt of margarine from Austria. Nice to see, the photos of a visit from Mohair with his family, he grew up in Casa Ioana.

Toth Attila from Peris sent pictures of fencing, making and handing out food packages.

Reghina from Ticau is also working on this, busy with buying, for example, thirty eggs for a family, bought on the market for € 2.75 for thirty pieces.

Package made in Breaza.
Breaza are also busy with this. There are quite a few there. The number of contact persons from Imola and Csaba continues to grow.

We also received photos from Henk Muller. Good that Henk received new stock again on Saturday. The traveling gypsies also go out again with their families in covered wagons drawn by horses. It is special that this still exists.

In Getz the experimentation with the bakery just continues, the results are getting better. Handing out sandwiches ditto, very useful work.

Quite a job making all those sandwiches.

Next Tuesday, a truck will load 23 tons of potatoes at the farm in Marghita. Attila has already prepared this batch in bags of 15 kilos. The truck will first unload 333 bags in Deaj at Henk Muller, then 400 at Toth Attila in Peris, then 400 at Phoneo in Reghin and the last 400 are removed in Breaza. It's great that all of this is possible, the recipients have been helped tremendously.

Next Wednesday we are going to load a truck in Broek op Langedijk with destination Botosani. In another location is quite a job, repacking frozen food. We are going to form two groups, more information about this will follow.

Everyone wants to go back to the old normal, unfortunately it is not yet that far and we cannot work with a large group. Stay healthy and be careful.

Do not come to Dulleweg 20 in Broek op Langedijk without notice.
