Weekly update 9/21

On Tuesday, pictures from Marghita were taken in the container with bakery that we brought there. The first loaves of bread look good and people are enthusiastic. The intention is that poor people get good bread for free or at least cheaply. Together with Paul, we will work on the implementation of this and ensure that it will be a successful project. The basis is there.

Attila sent a few more pictures of the wheat, it looks completely yellow, if it starts to grow with warmer weather, this weather is expected. That the pandemic continues and that does not make life easier for a farmer.

Like many others, I would like to see it again with my own eyes there. It is not easy to have patience, but there is little choice. Our foundation's first senior volunteer has received an invitation to get vaccinated.

John Fracker sent a few photos via Imola, does not give a complete picture of the situation in people of the burned house.

On Wednesday we loaded another truck with a very diverse load, on Friday it was unloaded in Breaza. Imola has written another piece on her blog.

It is still difficult for Cristi to find a freezer trailer to load the frozen food in Amsterdam.

The house building project of Reghina has started energetically, the first two are wind and waterproof. Unfortunately, the mayor of the village has temporarily halted construction, first agreements have to be made about overdue tax. After a conversation with Reghina and the mayor, the “cold” seems to have disappeared again and we will soon be able to continue. The now unregistered residents of the huts now receive a house number and are included in the administration of the municipality. This also gives them rights, which is a positive development.

Henk Muller also sent pictures again, he and his team are also trying to develop vegetables to help people
there. Also nice to see is the work of the Romanian aid workers, there are people everywhere who want to help someone else.

Priority number 1 is loading a freezer trailer in Amsterdam, this really has to be done next week. Then there are many collection jobs for hospital beds and inventory, this on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Our volunteers are all eager to work, but we must be and remain careful. Do not come to Dulleweg unannounced.
