Weekly update 6/21

Another week and two trucks with relief supplies sent to Romania.

On Tuesday, a load of building materials was loaded in Delft, Rob and Hesva took care of the supervision.
Another load of beautiful and useful things that Cristi will use during the construction of the new building in the yard of Casa Ioana.

Wednesday we were able to load for Peris and Breaza, we have many years of contacts over there who do a lot and good work in their area. Some more pick-up jobs such as and addition to the store inventory for the second-hand clothing store for Toth Attila in Peris.

On Friday we took part of our stock to the HriF foundation in Weesp. An aid transport will soon be sent to refugee camps on Lesbos, organized by the Cristian Refugeer Relief foundation from Nieuw Lekkerland.

The HRIF Foundation from Weesp has been supporting this organization for many years, they do good and useful work for our fellow people there. The messing about with refugees on Lesbos causes a lot of injustice and human suffering. Our contribution will certainly turn out well.

Henk Muller is known to be super active in helping people in the area of Deaj. He again sent many photos this week that clearly show how urgent the need is for many people.

Reghina from Ticau can also hand out a lot again, something she is busy with almost seven days a week, I think. Attila from the farm has brought some of the relief supplies from the Netherlands along with a few thousand kilos of potatoes to Ticau. Almost every day, Reghina sends photos that show the appalling conditions a large number of people live there.

I have put a few in a separate photo book. Six families with many small children live in huts made of plastic, branches and mud. Definitely not suitable for living, especially in winter. It is in SomeČ™-Odorhei a village 17 kilometres from Ticau. We can do something for these people, more later.

Mister Cristi from Botosani is also in full action with handing out etc .. Among the pictures of this also those of snow fun for the children. The truck with building materials from Delft will unload next Monday.

Imola from Breaza has posted another post on her blog. The truck that we loaded on Wednesday was unloaded on Saturday morning. First in Peris and then in Breaza.

In Getz, Paul succeeded in creating a new social centre for the village with a subsidy from the EU. The preparations were a huge job, but it worked, the construction of the complex has started.

Domien and Inci sent their newsletter from Salard, nice to read about what they do in this village.

Due to the weather conditions it is not yet clear what we will do next week. It will not be sitting still, I expect.
