Weekly update 49 / November 2020
Monday we started with a pick-up job in Amsterdam, we thought this wouldn't have to take that long, but it took a long time, luckily it was worth it. We can help a lot of people with these products.
The first truck would arrive to load on Tuesday, unfortunately this did not work, so we shifted loading to Wednesday. This went well with a relatively small group of people, together with pick-up and clean-up jobs. We have loaded the last roof sheets from our stock for Reghina from Ticau. I am adding the list of renovation objects, thanks to sponsors it is also possible to buy the necessary wood and pay the carpenter. At Hardeman in Veenendaal they are already
saving roofing sheets. Thanks to all the cogs in a network, these people are also at least warm and dry. Also loaded beautiful useful goods for Reghina's relief efforts and food parcels. Half of the load was for Marghita / Getz, the end-of-year food campaign is also gaining momentum. After unloading, 10 tons of potatoes for Ticau were loaded in Marghita. Especially unloading Ticau was an enormous job, a forklift truck is not available there, when it was finally empty, the truck could not just drive away because of the slippery and weak surface. I don't know yet how happy the driver was with this ride.
Here the link to pictures of the loading.

On Thursday we loaded a trailer with a small team with destination Breaza, this truck has not arrived there yet. Next Monday is the anniversary of Saint Andrew and Tuesday is a National holiday because of the Romanian revolution in 1998. There is still a question mark when unloading can take place. Loading went smoothly and it has become a beautiful cargo again. There is not much stock left, however, ample enough to load again on Tuesday December 1 for Botosani.
If everything goes according to plan, they will load a full load of potatoes and carrots at the farm in Marghita this Wednesday. This one goes to Phoneo in Reghin.
On Monday, November 23, the truck, which was loaded on November 18 in Broek op Langedijk, was unloaded at the new unloading point of Cristi from Botosani. This went very well on the freshly poured concrete slab and they were able to store everything dry. In a village near Botosani a house was burned and the mother of a number of children died. Together with others, Cristi has helped as much as possible with clothing and food. I don't know yet how this will continue.
Reghina again sent pictures of handing out to poor people and of her purchases for food packages for the end-of-year food campaign. Together with the items received last Saturday, she has a large stock to hand out.

Attila the top manager of the farm in Marghita also sent some pictures of Inci and Domien picking up stuff from Salard. These two will also improvise with the packages and make something beautiful out of it. Domien has just returned from work in Spain and Inci is recovering from Covid – 19.
Toth Attila also sent some pictures, including some of a christening ceremony.
Pieter Nagel from Minis sent pictures of his handout promotions.
It is nice to see that despite these difficult circumstances so many people are active to help others. Above all, let's continue to “fuel” these people, it really helps.
