Our weekly update 44 / October 2022

Last Tuesday we loaded a truck in Utrecht, with surplus stocks from cruise ships and airlines. A collaboration with St. HRIF and the Salvation Army.

On Wednesday a truck was loaded with destination Botosani, mainly with construction materials and clothing. The truck has not arrived yet, probably due to a driving ban for trucks in Hungary last Friday due to a holiday.

In Breaza, Csaba suffered a partially torn Achilles heel tendon, on Monday he will go to a clinic for an MRI scan, and on Tuesday they will know more. Csaba thinks it will not be so bad and does not expect surgery. Elena from Urmenis is doing a bit better, she has to recover at home.

The delivery and collection of the goods continues as usual in Breaza, the oldest children do a lot of work together. All children receive partial homeschooling again. In turn, half of the students go to school and the other half receive digital lessons again. The teacher from the after-school care in Breaza is doing very well. The children are very happy with her, she teaches in a fun, appealing way and with success. The six new children have not been living with Imola and Csaba in Breaza for very long, but they are rapidly catching up with their learning gap. Raising children is a lot of hassle and hassle, but Csaba and Imola enjoy it, again with the "newcomers".

Reghina from Ticau continues to send photos, now not only of making and distributing food, but also of installing a dozen stoves. The Emeth Foundation has been able to make the resources available for this. A closed roof over your head and a warm stove is not self-evident for everyone, we succeeded here. It's great that we were able to contribute to this.

In the previous blog, it was about the construction of the roof of Orb and his family, the problem was financing the necessary wood for this. A number of readers of this blog have together transferred the nice amount of € 975 to the account of our foundation. That is nice to experience but much more for Orb and his family. Through this blog we will let you know how the progress is.

Cristi sent a few pictures, among other things, of the overalls we received from the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk. The doctors were very happy with it, a doctor even seems to have posted it on facebook.

Toth Attila again sent photos of the inspection by the inspection of his farm with pigs. The family that runs the place now also has furniture from the Netherlands. In addition to the new children's home, a shop for second-hand items will be built, which is progressing well.

Of course, it is not new that the Covid-19 virus is confusing everything, unfortunately that is no different for our work.

A volunteer from our foundation has tested positive, which is very annoying and exciting for this family. The last time this volunteer was part of the group was on October 14, no complaints are known from other people in this group. Only if you have Covid -19 related complaints is it possible to have a test. Information about this can be found on the RIVM site.

We are putting the activities on the back burner for a while, we are not supposed to stop completely for a longer period of time. Next Wednesday we will not be loading and we will collect goods to a limited extent and in consultation with the undersigned.
