Foundation Promotie / Aid Transports to Romania

Last Tuesday we loaded a truck in Utrecht, with surplus stocks from cruise ships and airlines. A collaboration with St. HRIF and the Salvation Army. On Wednesday a truck was loaded with destination Botosani, mainly with construction materials and clothing. The truck has not arrived yet, probably due to a driving ban for trucks in Hungary last Friday due to a holiday. Here the link to photos. In Breaza, Csaba suffered a partially torn Achilles heel tendon, on Monday he will go to a clinic for an MRI scan, and on Tuesday they will know more. Csaba thinks it will not be so bad and does not expect surgery. Elena from Urmenis is doing a bit better, she has to recover at home. The delivery and collection of the goods continues as usual in Breaza, the oldest children do a lot of work together. All children receive partial homeschooling again. It was a relatively quiet week for us, loaded a truck on Wednesday and done a few pick-up jobs, that was about it. A number of our volunteers have chosen to stay at home because of the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. An understandable choice most of us are in the "risk group" just like their partner. We adhere to government-mandated measures and count on each of us to do so. The proposition; it will all be okay, has lost its strength now. The truck that we loaded on Wednesday was unloaded in Breaza on Friday afternoon. Everything went smoothly and without problems. The items will quickly find their way to their final destination. In Breaza no corona fell, but in the more distant area there were. The schools are still open, everything functions more or less normally, just like here, but with limitations. Monday October 5th we started the week with loading a trailer with destination Botosani, we were not with a very large group but it went smoothly. There was still quite a bit of food, clothing, furniture and medical supplies. It has again become a nice load of useful goods. Here the link to pictures of the loading. On Wednesday, October 7, the second truck arrived to load it with the destination Marghita and Ticau, unfortunately it did not arrive until 11 am. We could first fill the time with tidying up and sorting. In the end, loading went smoothly and at three o'clock the truck left for Romania. On Saturday 10 October we unloaded in Marghita and loaded potatoes and vegetables. Unloading will take place in Ticau on Monday 12 October. Here the link to photos.
